Our DCHS Cross Country Team traveled to Dickinson to compete in the Becki Wells Invite on Thursday, Sept. 17th. These kids put in endless hours and miles of running to compete each week.

DCHS will be celebrating next week for the 2026-2027 Homecoming! The week is packed full of many events for our students and we want to invite the community to all the games and events DCHS will be hosting. A special Thank You to Stockman Bank for hosting the Tailgate prior to the football game and to the City of Glendive for allowing the parade to take place. We would also like to encourage the businesses to decorate for the upcoming week. Please see the list below detailing the upcoming events for next week.

They helped unload vehicles, serenading community members with an awesome playlist. They sorted through electronics, helping keep the event space organized, and found some cool treasures like an old film reel projector; all while ultimately giving of their time to help staff an event that benefits the community.
Some came to help after just arriving home from a football game at 3 AM., which is dedication. Great job, members, on showing your leadership and service mindset in action. We continue to be impressed by your dedication to the greater Glendive community.
The community and our students turned out in great numbers, and we look forward to volunteering again in 2028!
As the sun finally broke over the horizon, it set the perfect backdrop for the start of their final high school journey.
Of course, no early morning is complete without a sweet treat! The activity wrapped up with everyone sharing boxes of doughnuts, pouring cups of juice, and snapping a ton of pictures. 🍩🧃📸

The Advanced Welding class from last year started these table carts and could not finish them because we were waiting for parts. The Metals class this fall finished and delivered them to the EPEC. The red carts were built for the EPEC and the blue carts were built for the Glendive Gun Show. We are proud of the classes who completed this project.
Students paired up to test each other using the classic ruler drop method, exploring how our bodies respond under three different conditions:
👀 Visual – Eyes open, catching the ruler without warning.
👂 Auditory – Eyes closed, relying only on the cue word “Drop”
✋ Tactile – Eyes closed, reacting to a shoulder tap.
Through this fun and engaging experiment, students experienced firsthand how living things constantly interact with their environment by responding to different forms of stimuli. 🌍🔎
Armed with a Police Report, clue cards, and chemical samples (sodium bicarbonate, dextrose , and vinegar cleverly simulating saliva and poison), students investigated the evidence, tested hypotheses, and pieced together the mystery.
But the challenge didn't end there. To get the final "missing" evidence, they needed to go to the office and recite the school's universals.
It wasn’t just science in action—it was critical thinking, problem-solving, and teamwork at its best. 👏
