✨ Cultural Exchange Highlight! 🇵🇭🇺🇸
Today marks Mr. Pagawisan’s first culture exchange activity of the school year, and it was a meaningful celebration of learning, diversity, and global connection!
In line with the Thanksgiving celebration here in the USA, Mr. Pagawisan showcased a variety of vibrant Philippine festivities, sharing stories behind beloved traditions such as Sinulog, Panagbenga, Pahiyas, and more. His presentation brought color and culture to the classroom—made even more authentic by his wearing of a Barong Tagalog, the national formal attire of the Philippines.
We are proud to have Mr. Pagawisan as one of the district’s dedicated culture-exchange teachers. Now in his second year teaching High School Science, he continues to enrich students’ perspectives by connecting lessons to real-world cultures and global experiences.
Here’s to more opportunities for learning, celebrating diversity, and building understanding across cultures! 🌍✨

What a night! Honor Band & Honor Choir shine at DCHS!
Last night's Honor Band and Honor Choir concert was nothing short of spectacular! After two full days of focused rehearsals, students from Glendive, Sidney, Savage, Fairview, Circle, Wibaux, Terry, Baker, and Richey came together to deliver a performance that showcased their hard work and talent.
With the guidance of our dedicated guest conductors—who traveled a long way to work with these young musicians—each ensemble transformed into a cohesive, powerful group capable of creating a sound far beyond what any individual school could produce alone.
A huge thank-you to the students, directors, families, and community members who made this event possible and filled the auditorium with support. Nights like this remind us why music education matters—and why collaboration can create something unforgettable.

Honor Band and Honor Choir have been working hard at DCHS yesterday and today. They include students from Glendive, Sidney, Savage, Fairview, Circle, Wibaux, Terry, Baker, and Richey. Guest conductors have come a long way to work with them and turn them into strong, cohesive performing groups. They spend time in their own classes preparing beforehand, then rehearse together for two days. It's all worth it when they put on a spectacular concert unlike anything that any individual band or choir in attendance could do. The concert is tonight at 6pm and there is an admission charge.
