Seniors: Your Jostens orders will be available for pick up TODAY at lunchtime. Swing into the auditorium and grab your items.
Students: If you are, attending prom Picture forms are available in the office until Thursday the 17th.
The picture forms and sign-up sheet is in the office. Please sign up for a time to get your pictures taken before Grand March. You will also need a picture form to order pictures.
You need to make sure you have your name on the sign-up sheet before THURSDAY, 3/17 as the photographer will be picking it up on Thursday.
Grand March will be Saturday, March 19th, at 8PM
PROM: The last day to purchase prom tickets is Thursday, March 17th. No exceptions.
Huddle Girls Bible Study Tuesday March 15th in the Courtyard (weather permitting). Free lunch provided.
JUNIORS: Decorating and set up on the stage for Prom will begin right after school on Wednesday, March 16th. We have three days to get the stage decorated and set up.
DCHS Key Club will host a Vitalant School Blood Drive on March 17th. The Blood Drive is open to school staff and students. If you are 16 or older, and wish to donate blood, see the sign-up sheet in the office for an available time slot. The permission forms, which are very important for those under 18, are in a stack next to the sign-up sheet.
DCHS Key Club invites you to join the Dawson County High School Out of the Darkness Campus Walk. The Out of the Darkness Campus walks help raise funds for suicide prevention programs and research. Various challenges are starting now, leading up to the official date on May 7th.
Clubs and Sports team challenge: We are challenging the other clubs/sports teams in the school to see who can raise the most funds before May 1st. Key Club is currently winning the Sports/Clubs Fundraising Challenge with $167.00 raised.
Student Body Activity Challenge: Being physically active is linked to positive mental health. We are challenging our student body to see who can track the most Activity Minutes between March 1st and the end of April. The top two students will win a $20.00 gift card. Lilli Olmstead is in first place with 1335 minutes/18+ hours tracked, and Jazmine is in second with 950 minutes/15+ hours tracked.

ATTENTION 2022 SENIORS

The Senior All Nighter needs YOU to design the T-shirt for the All Nighter!
Please submit your T-shirt design idea to the office no later than noon on APRIL 14th.
Seniors will then be able to vote on the design.
Be creative and have fun, just remember to keep it clean.
**Designs must be original and not copyrighted material. Also please only use 2 colors in your design (ex: red/black, white/red, blue/pink). The design will be printed on your choice of a red, black, gray or white tee – On the back of the drawing please include the shirt color you want.

Child Find will be hosting Developmental Screenings for children aged birth through 6 that have not yet entered Kindergarten. The screenings will be done at the DCHS Auditorium Foyer on Thursday March 24 from 1-6 pm.

The Out of the Darkness Campus Walk challenges are starting today at DCHS.
Key Club is challenging the other sports teams/clubs at DCHS to see who can get the most involved in this year's Out of the Darkness Campus Walk.
Challenge #1: Whichever club/sports team can raise the most money for the American Foundation for Suicide prevention will win an Ice Cream Social or Pizza Party. Starting today, we challenge our fellow student leaders and athletes to register as teams and see who can raise the most before the May 7th event.
The second challenge is for the student body as a whole. We would like to see our study body getting more active as being physically active leads to more positive mental health.
Challenge #2: We want to see who in the study body as a whole can track over 200 personal hours of activity over the next 2 months. The two winners, with the most physical activity, will get $20.00 gift cards. Minutes/hours that count for the challenge are exercises like hiking, jogging, weights, yoga, etc... We will base the winners off the personal account portal on the walk page, so you must register for the walk to be part of the competition.

The DCHS Red Devil basketball teams will be traveling to Billings to compete at the Eastern A Divisional Basketball tournament this week. The girls team will open the tournament at 1:30 against the Lockwood Lions, and the boys team will be playing the Park Rangers at 3:30. Good luck to all of our athletes, and GO DEVILS!!!!

ITALY TRIP: The early registration $200 discount for the Italy trip coming up in June of 2024 will end this Thursday, the 17th. You are eligible to attend the trip even if you will have graduated by that time. Students are welcome to attend with their parents, but are not required. We will go over information about the trip, payment plans, how to get college credit, and ways we can fundraise to help you make your dream trip come true.
If you have any questions or want to go but are unable to attend that night, you can email Mrs. Schaaf on her school email of schaafd@glendiveschools.org and she will get you more information.
Math people! The MCTM contest is happening in Sidney, Montana on March 1st. If you like math, want to make Mrs. Tuma proud, and/or you're a senior looking for a chance at a scholarship, sign up with a math teacher by February 10!

Congratulations to the wrestlers at divisionals with Austin Berry taking 2nd, Matthew Reske taking 5th, Sheldon Rod taking 3rd, Tristan Swanson taking 5th, Espyn Hostetler taking 4th, Cody Harrington taking 4th, Jadyn Silha taking 7th, and Tommy Reske taking 6th. Do you dream about your child having the opportunity to travel the world? This is their chance! Come to our informational meeting on February 9th at 6:30 pm to learn more about an opportunity to travel to Italy with WMS teacher, Donnetta Schaaf in June, 2024. This is NOT a school sponsored trip, but your child will gain new perspectives, develop a sense of independence, and build skills for the future through this experience of a lifetime.
We will be going over all the details of the trip at the informational parent meeting including discussion of ways we may be able to fundraise. Students are welcome to attend, but not required. Remember, the meeting is Wednesday, February 9th at 6:30 pm in the WMS Bandroom.
